Left Coast Life

With my car still sporting DC license plates and continually calling the city north of me “San Fran”, it seems to be easy for others to tell I’m new to the area. A new job brought me to a place I never thought I’d want to live, but I made the cross country journey out to the Bay Area and found a beautiful surfer town called Pacifica to set up shop. It’s the first time I’ve lived in an area where it’s best to keep my camera on my coffee table ready and charged in order to respond to the likes of a message from a college friend saying “yo dude - I’m above your house, come outside”. If the floating effortlessly in rising winds is not already impressive enough, his ability to pull out his phone and text me while doing so drove home the fact my daily multitasking of sitting in a zoom meeting while looking at internet memes at the same time is not as remarkable as I thought.

For now I’m fortunate enough to call Pacifica home and will continue to bombard my family on Snapchat and followers on Instagram the same sunset perspective every night while eagerly awaiting the gray whale migration to pass thru!
